The generated parts are lightweight design envelopes. The reference dimensions below improve head clearance, drive size and linked-hole fit; they do not certify a supplier product, thread tolerance, load capacity, material, coating or stock availability. Screw threads remain cosmetic metadata.
Dimensions were checked on 2026-09-06 against these primary manufacturer publications:
| Data used | Source and scope |
|---|---|
| Hex screw across flats at M10/M12/M14: 16/18/21 mm | PGB-Europe SB ISO 4017 table; these differ from legacy DIN 17/19/22 mm. |
| Countersunk head diameter/height/drive size and drive depth | Böllhoff ISO 10642 steel 10.9 data sheet, page 1, M3/M4/M5/M6/M8/M10/M12/M16/M20. The model uses the published maximum head envelope, nominal drive across flats, and that sheet's minimum drive depth. |
| M14 countersunk head and angle; corroboration of other head envelopes | Würth DIN/EN/ISO comparison, printed page 9, table 5; M14 drive and depth from Fuller Fasteners. |
| Button head diameter, height, nominal drive size and depth | Würth ISO 7380 catalogue table, M3/M4/M5/M6/M8/M10/M12; M6 product cross-check. |
| New countersink opening diameters | Würth DIN 74 form F recess table. |
| Nut across flats and height, M5–M24 offered sizes | Würth reference table, printed page 89, with M18 and M24 in the structural-products table, printed page 84. |
standards.HEAD_REFERENCES intentionally has 7 sourced button rows and 10 sourced countersunk rows. Other offered sizes remain reference envelopes with an explicit unsourced warning and BOM label. In particular, a size being selectable does not establish its inclusion in the referenced standard. ISO 7380-1:2022 covers M3–M16; some in-range sizes still lack a verified manufacturer row in this add-in. ISO 10642:2026 supersedes the 2019 edition. The catalogue is pinned to the manufacturer publications above and does not claim a complete validation against the 2026 edition.
Countersunk heads use a 90-degree cone and length measured from the flush head plane. The shaft overlaps into the head for a reliable union; the cone itself is not extended, which would change its angle. The default recess is a clearance envelope and can place the physical bearing seat slightly below the reference plane. Custom dimensions remain authoritative. Linked countersinks are checked at every radial transition before creating/replacing the fastener; an undersized or incompatible old/custom hole reports a fit error rather than creating intersecting geometry.
Button heads retain a simplified dome. Tiny chamfers, under-head fillets, drive corner radii and screw thread faces are not modeled. Nominal drive across flats is used, rather than the full manufacturing tolerance. Unsourced fallback drive depth is a geometric approximation. The existing socket cap and washer tables have not received a complete standards-conformance audit in this correction.
The ten offered nut sizes M5–M24 now use sourced ISO 4032 envelope widths/heights. Smaller sizes retain an explicit legacy-reference label; ISO 4032:2023 places these outside its M5–M39 main range. New nut pockets include 0.4 mm across-flats and 0.5 mm depth clearance. Automatic bolt length uses the resolved nut height: an M12 bolt across a 26 mm grip with an external nut, no washers and two protruding threads needs 40.3 mm, and therefore selects 45 mm from the configured list. A captive nut remains inside the grip, so its height is not added again. An undersized linked pocket is rejected before replacement; explicit saved pocket and nut dimensions are retained.
Company files may override button_d, button_h, button_af, button_depth, countersunk_d, countersunk_h, countersunk_af, and countersunk_depth separately. Existing explicit per-stack head_diameter_mm, head_height_mm, socket_af_mm and socket_depth_mm still override defaults. Existing saved records and IDs are not migrated on load. A requested rebuild uses current defaults for dimensions that were never explicitly saved; an incompatible old linked recess is blocked before replacement. Company hex_af/hex_d overrides now resolve to one consistent prism; the exported head diameter matches its actual across-corners envelope.
The global preferred-length list remains a convenience for sizing, not a diameter/head/material-specific purchasing catalogue.
These tables were read on 2026-10-16 from reproductions of the standards and from manufacturer documents. The standards themselves are paid documents; each source below is the page the numbers were copied from. Sizes without a sourced row are refused, not estimated.
| Data used | Source and scope |
|---|---|
| Nylon-insert lock nuts, thin series ISO 10511: s and h max, M3–M24 (no M18) | ISO 10511:2012 table; identical values in DIN EN ISO 10511; M8 13 × 6.8 mm confirmed by McMaster-Carr 90453A115. ISO 10511:2025 changes M20 h max to 15.2 mm; the add-in keeps 14.9 mm from the 2012 edition. DIN 985 nuts are taller from M8 up. |
| Hex flange nuts ISO 4161: s, dc max, m max, c min, M5–M20 (M5, M6, M8, M10, M12, M16, M20) | ISO 4161:1999 table, same values in the 2012 edition and DIN 6923. EN 1661 differs only at M10 (s = 16 mm). |
| Hex flange bolts ISO 4162: s, dc max, k max, c min, M5–M16 | ISO 4162:2012 table; identical values from AFT Fasteners. ISO 4162 stops at M16. DIN 6921 and EN 1665 bolts have other hex sizes at M10–M20. |
| Hardened dowel pins ISO 8734 (m6): end chamfer c and length range, 2–20 mm, and the length steps | DIN EN ISO 8734; m6 limits from ISO 8734:1997. The pin's chamfer is modeled at 15°. Holes are drawn at the nominal diameter and marked H7: the bore manufacturers name for m6 pins, for example Ganter GN 771.1. The automatic length is at most 2 d in each part. |
| Fine-pitch hex flange bolts ISO 15072 (small series): s, dK max, k max, c min, M8x1–M16x1.5 | ISO 15072 table. |
| Fine-pitch nylon-insert nuts ISO 10512 (style 1): s max, h max, M8x1–M24x2 (no M18x1.5) | DIN EN ISO 10512 table, labelled as taken from DIN 10512:1998. These nuts are regular height, taller than ISO 10511. |
| Fine-pitch socket heads ISO 12474, hex heads ISO 8676 and hex nuts ISO 8673 | ISO 12474, ISO 8676 and ISO 8673 list the same head diameter, head height, socket size and depth, across flats and nut height as the coarse ISO 4762, ISO 4017 and ISO 4032 envelopes already used, so a fine size wears its coarse size's envelopes. ISO 12474 lists no M18x1.5. |
| Fine pitches offered | ISO 262 selected sizes M8x1, M10x1.25, M10x1, M12x1.5, M12x1.25, M14x1.5, M16x1.5, M18x1.5, M20x1.5 and M24x2. The tap drill is nominal minus pitch; the thread itself comes from Fusion's ISO Metric profile data for that exact designation. No fine-pitch button or countersunk screw and no fine-pitch flange nut (ISO 10663) is offered. |
| Inch button heads (A max, H max, hex key) and 82° flat heads (theoretical sharp D max, H reference, hex key), #6–1/2 | Camcar/Stanley Socket Screw Technical Manual, Rev 2024, tables I-15 and I-20, matching ASME B18.3-2012. The countersink is 82° at the sharp D max, where a screw with the maximum head height sits flush (Camcar note 3). Drive depth is half the head height (reference envelope). |
| Inch hex heads: F max across flats and H max, 1/4–1/2; #10 hex machine screw | ASME B18.2.1-2012 table 6, matching AFT Fasteners; #10 from ASME B18.6.3 table 29. No #6 or #8 hex head is offered. |
| Inch nylon-insert lock nuts ASME B18.16.6: W max and H max, style NM #6–#10 and NE 1/4–1/2 | Style NM and style NE tables; all sizes match the Albany County Fasteners chart. |
A nylon-insert nut is modeled as a hex prism with a round collar over its last 28 percent of height, and a flange nut or flange bolt as a hex on a round flange of thickness c. The Hardware BOM names each part by its standard; it never adds a property class, material or finish that the company catalog does not give.
