Open Solid > Hole Series > Connection Library and Batch Change.
The Hole Series dialog includes a Connection recipe dropdown with twelve starting recipes: metric tapped fixtures, through bolts, a captive nut and a flush panel; UNC/UNF examples; and a sourced PEM installation hole. Select a recipe, then select new hole centers, direction and target bodies. Review the visible dimensions before creating the connection. These are editable design starting points, not load-rated joint designs.
To save your own recipe, choose Save connection recipe, select one managed Hole Series and enter a unique name. Its hole options and optional linked Fastener Stack options are saved. Recipes never contain model entity tokens, placements, document IDs or source-file paths. A connection with multiple linked stacks requires individual review and cannot be saved as one recipe.
Import recipes and Export recipes exchange a versioned JSON library. Import validates the whole file before replacing the personal library. A duplicate recipe name is rejected. The personal file is %APPDATA%/VanThanBK/HoleSeriesAndFasteners/connection_recipes.json; if it does not exist, the twelve bundled recipes are available. Library changes do not modify existing geometry. Hardware recipes currently apply to local connections; linked-file creation retains its existing source-file job workflow.
Choose Batch change size and use Current size to show All sizes or one thread size present in the design. Each Managed connections row shows the ID, name, current size, head/tail treatments and local or linked-file scope. Select individual rows or use Select matching to check all displayed rows; Clear selection unchecks them. Changing the current-size filter or action clears the previous selection, including records that would become hidden.
Choose New size and review the preview: how many records match the filter, how many are selected, how many will change, and why any selected record is skipped. Changing the new size keeps the selection and recalculates the preview. No geometry changes until OK. Only the selected applicable connections change.
For M4 to M5, standard hole/recess/nut-pocket dimensions update to M5. Dimensions that differ from the previous defaults remain overrides. An override that would leave the hole too small is skipped, as are independent hardware sizes and explicit hardware-dimension overrides that need individual review. Default thread engagement follows the new screw diameter; custom engagement and manual lengths remain explicit choices and must pass the existing stack length preflight. Linked hardware rebuilds after its owning hole series.
The batch does not edit arbitrary Fusion holes, unmanaged purchased parts or distributed source-file connections. Edit those distributed connections using Edit Assembly Feature, which preserves the existing saved source-file job and recovery checks. Hybrid parent design and licensing checks still apply.
Each local connection has a recovery snapshot stored in the design before the first mutation. A downstream failure restores that connection's hole and linked stacks before continuing. If restoration fails or cannot be authorized, the batch stops and retains the snapshot. Choose Recover interrupted change after resolving the reported issue. Other modeling commands block while a connection recovery is pending. Normal document save/recovery controls whether unsaved work survives a Fusion/application crash; this is not a disk/cloud transaction guarantee. Downstream user-created face references may still need repair after any replacement geometry, as with existing Edit/Update.
Fourteen thread combinations are available: #6-32 UNC/#6-40 UNF, #8-32 UNC/ #8-36 UNF, #10-24 UNC/#10-32 UNF, 1/4-20 UNC/1/4-28 UNF, 5/16-18 UNC/ 5/16-24 UNF, 3/8-16 UNC/3/8-24 UNF and 1/2-13 UNC/1/2-20 UNF.
The inch hardware family supports Socket, Button and 82 degree Flat heads for every size, Hex heads from #10, external/captive hex nuts, nylon-insert lock nuts and flat washers; their sources are listed in Fastener reference dimensions. An inch countersink is 82 degrees at the flat head's theoretical sharp diameter. Native tapped holes select the exact Fusion Unified thread designation and internal 2B class; UNC and UNF are never selected by nearest diameter alone. Hardware threads remain lightweight reference envelopes without helical geometry.
The catalogue stores dimensions in millimeters using exactly 25.4 mm per inch. Head and nut dimensions use published envelope maxima where available; socket depth uses the manufacturer's minimum key engagement as a conservative reference. The small US washer rows are nominal supplier dimensions. Models do not include every chamfer, fillet, tolerance or manufacturing detail.

Clearance presets are editable Hole Series & Fasteners design allowances (nominal diameter plus 0.2/0.4/0.8 mm for Close/Normal/Loose), not certified inch-fit tables. Recesses also include explicit design clearance. Preferred screw lengths are a configured selection list, not a guarantee that every supplier stocks every size/length/material. The nut's simple bore uses a nominal diameter-minus-pitch reference; native tapped-hole dimensions come from Fusion's thread data. None of these values constitute a tap-drill process recommendation, torque, pull-out, fatigue or joint-strength calculation.
Use Map supplier SKU and paste the HSF part number from Hardware BOM, then enter the supplier, actual SKU and purchasing description (include material, finish or grade as needed). CSV and printable HTML BOM exports use this local mapping. An HSF identifier is not a manufacturer part number. A mapping adds purchasing metadata; it does not certify that modified geometry matches a SKU.
Export company catalogue writes the effective dimensions, labels and SKU mappings. Import company catalogue validates its schema, units, supported sizes and dimensions before replacing the personal override file. Existing models change only on their next explicit Create/Edit/Update. Company dimensions are authoritative, so invalid existing data stops a rebuild instead of silently falling back. Keep the catalogue version and supplier drawings with your project.
Tail insert > PEM-S-M4-1ZI creates the mounting hole in the last target only; preceding targets retain the normal M4 clearance. The native mounting hole is 5.41 mm; the supplier drawing specifies +0.08/-0 mm, minimum sheet thickness 1.00 mm, minimum center-to-edge distance 6.9 mm and sheet hardness HRB80/HB150 or less. The add-in checks local target thickness and normal drilling direction. Edge distance, material/hardness, tolerances and installation process require user verification against the current PEM S-M4-1ZI drawing.
This option produces a local, simple mounting hole with supplier metadata; it does not place/deform an insert or predict its retention. It requires M4 and Clearance termination, turns off Add fasteners, and cannot be batch-changed to another screw size. No rivnut or heat-set installation dimensions are shipped without verified supplier records. A mounting hole is not an extra BOM hardware quantity; order and verify inserts separately.
