Reviewed 11 September 2026. All library dimensions are millimetres; native
temporary geometry uses Fusion centimetres. The support origin is the pipe
centre, X follows the pipe, and Z points from the mounting plane towards the
pipe. The mounting plane is Z = -mount_height_mm.
These are dimensioned installation models. They do not calculate support loads, pipe spans, anchors, thermal movement, friction, vibration or structural capacity. Fixed, sliding and guided shoe choices describe the modelled arrangement only. They do not constrain Fusion components or assign analysis boundary conditions.
Primary content: STAUFF Clamps, Standard Series according to DIN 3015 part 1, Edition 02/2017. The manufacturer-authored section is available from the distributor mirror. The manufacturer catalogue and product index identify the family.
The presets use the published rows for groups 1A, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8:
The pipe is centred in the body height. Centre-to-mount distance is H/2 plus the SP plate thickness. Group 1, which has an offset single bolt, is not included. Where OD 32 appears in groups 4 and 5, the smaller group 4 is selected. An OD not listed in the source creates an explicitly generic adjustable block; it is never silently rounded to a manufacturer’s bore.
The model uses smooth half-bores and square outer corners. Internal gripping ribs, welded threaded bosses, fine corner radii and bolt threads are simplified. The bolt shanks engage within the lower block/plate envelope. Hardware heads are simple round envelopes rather than exact DIN hexagonal heads. Those details are not represented as manufacturer-exact geometry.
Primary content: BISMAT 2000 (M8/10, M10), EN-LV, 04/2025.
Each eligible OD is matched against the printed inclusive clamping range. The model uses the published overall transverse width B, pipe-centre-to-mounting-boss distance h, band width b, band thickness s and clamp-screw diameter. The source part number and range are retained in the parameters. Overall height H is saved as a reference value only: the simplified semicircular bands adapt to the actual pipe OD and the user’s liner thickness.
The 2 mm liner default is an adjustable modelling dimension, not a claimed manufacturer liner thickness. The liner is represented by two separate EPDM half-rings. Quick-lock contours, hardware and mounting threads are simplified. Removing the liner does not convert the preset into a certified unlined product. The same sheet’s DN and inch columns name the pipe each row is for. Its rounded ranges stop just below some of those pipes, so the printed pipe sizes match their row as well: DN100 / 4" (114.3) on 3403114 (108-114), NPS 5 (141.3) on 3403141, DN150 / 6" (168.3, 168.28) on 3423168 and DN200 / 8" (219.1, 219.08) on 3423219 (re-read 10 October 2026; before that these pipes got a generic clamp). Other pipes outside a printed range use a generic clamp. The sheet covers 57-219 mm; Walraven’s smaller BISMAT 2000 clamps are one-screw designs that this two-screw model does not represent, so a small pipe uses the DIN 3015 block clamp or the DIN 3570 U-bolt for standard dimensions.
Added 10 October 2026: a U-bolt on a standard pipe OD follows a published standard before any manufacturer-specific row. DIN itself is paywalled; the dimensions are transcribed from manufacturer tables that print the standard and were cross-checked.
A row is used only for its own pipe OD (within 0.05 mm). For ANSI pipe the MSS table is searched first, otherwise DIN 3570; both list 88.9 and 114.3 mm. An OD only one table lists takes that table (DN15 21.3 is NPS 1/2). The standard’s clear width sets the clearance around the pipe. Other ODs (for example JIS 60.5) use the Walraven rows below or explicitly generic dimensions.
The height check requires the washer and nut that are drawn under the base plate; it asked for 1.5 x rod before, more than is drawn, and refused DIN 3570 U-bolts from DN125.
Primary content: U Bolt, DMC, EN-DUB, 03/2025. Used only where no DIN 3570 / MSS type 24 row lists the pipe OD.
For exact matches to the drawing’s D column, the preset uses the published rod diameter, overall height H and threaded length Lm1. The U-bolt is oriented with its curved crown above the pipe and its threaded legs towards the mounting plane. H is measured from the outside crown to the leg tips. Thread length is retained as a reference; no thread helices are generated. The clear inside bend follows the selected pipe OD plus the adjustable clearance.
No near-size substitution is made: a 60.3 mm pipe does not claim to be the source 60 mm U-bolt row. Other sizes receive explicitly generic adjustable dimensions. The curved saddle, base plate, nuts and washers are generic accessories, not parts dimensioned by that Walraven drawing.
For direct U-bolt mounting, the saddle base underside is the mounting plane.
The legs and nuts can extend past that plane, as on a real U-bolt assembly.
mount_projection_mm and mounting_note report this explicitly: the host needs
matching holes and nut access, and is not drilled automatically. An additional
mounting foot or rod can move the host contact plane below those projections.
Piping Technology Fig. 1400 is an arrangement reference only. Its clamped-shoe dimensions are not reused as though they defined a welded saddle and all material thicknesses. The add-in’s shoe is an explicitly generic, editable fabricated saddle, web and base plate.
Sliding adds a separate pad; guided adds lateral guide plates with the specified gap on each side; fixed adds axial end stops. These geometric configurations need engineering review for the actual pipe system. Guides and stops represent adjacent hardware and are not automatically attached to existing steelwork.
Optional mounting feet, pedestals and threaded rods are generic adapters. Their dimensions are independent from the clamp’s catalogue dimensions. Their contact plane is the requested mounting plane; the support does not cut or move the pipe. Rod mounting includes a base plate, two fixing holes, centre rod hole, washer and nut. The rod ends at the mounting plane and does not extend into the host.
catalogue_dimensions lists the exact parameters transcribed from the source.
Other dimensions are modelling choices. The source title, URL and part/group
remain available when editing and exporting. If a listed manufacturer dimension
is changed, dimension_basis becomes “User-adjusted dimensions based on
manufacturer preset”. A stored source reference is not a claim that an edited
support can be ordered under the original part number.
Native Fusion regressions must check solid closure, pipe clearance and mounting plane geometry. Offline tests separately verify source dimensions, diameter matching, provenance, persistence-safe parameters and invalid configurations.
